Shannon Tortolano

Licensed Massage Therapist

Shannon graduated from The Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork in 2018, a specialized school of massage in Kauai, HI. This unique program integrated education in somatic psychology and trauma-informed practices with Lomi Lomi, structural integration, and traditional massage therapy.

A lifelong student of health and well-being, Shannon began her journey as a student of midwifery, learning about holistic healing modalities, including diet, herbs, and homeopathic remedies. She then obtained her Reiki II attunement and training in 2000, as well as becoming a student and eventually teacher of yoga. She seeks to help people connect with well-being through informed care and compassion.

Blending ancient wisdom with modern techniques, her massages are unique, tailored to the individual, and strive to nurture each person's connection with their own inner vitality. She seeks to hold a nurturing, healing space for her clients that leads to deep relaxation and relief from pain, helping individuals to experience a renewed connection to life. She offers traditional, deep tissue, cupping therapy, and pregnancy massage.

Shannon has an undergraduate degree in Psychology, as well as her 500 RYT endorsement in Yoga.

She loves settling into some quiet downtime at the end of a long day. She often has the luxury of curling up on the couch to rest. Occasionally, the neighbor’s dog wanders in for a visit, drawn, of course, to her stash of the best treats.

She enjoys watching videos and movies, not just to unwind and take her mind off things, but also to learn, laugh, cry, or to see the world from a fresh perspective. And if she’s been indoors too long, nothing resets her like a brisk walk at sunset.
